Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in the state of California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The influential industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, as reported by.
