Locating a Venezuelan-affiliated Oil Tanker 'Pursued' by American Maritime Authorities

A uniquely yellow-fronted residential building in the background helped us locate the footage.
Our team is analyzing video footage and photographs shared earlier today that show the aftermath of a reported vehicle-borne explosive explosion that authorities in Russia say killed a high-ranking soldier in Moscow.
Russian authorities stated that Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was in the vehicle that detonated and that he succumbed to his injuries. A probe is under way.
The initial step to check the site of where the images were from relied on posts indicating the explosion occurred on Yasenevaya Ulitsa in the southern district of the capital city of Russia.
We used panoramic mapping services on Google Maps and the Russian search engine Yandex Maps to match the distinctive yellow hue of a nearby residential complex seen in the video.
Locating other buildings, streetlights and the road configuration verified where the pictures were taken.
Additionally, we verified that the videos were new and that the visuals had not been manipulated.
