Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
